This book is also an introduction to Hokusai. Katsushika Hokusai (1760~1849) is a Japanese artist best known for his series of Ukiyo-e woodblock prints entitled "Fugaku Sanjurokkei" (Thirty-six views of Mt. Fuji), which depict scenes with Mt.Fuji.

Woodblock prints by Hokusai, so-called “Ukiyo-e” are now highly valued for their artistic quality and are collected and exhibited in museums around the world. On the other hand, did you know that in the Edo period, the common people could easily purchase these pictures and they enjoyed looking at them with their hands instead of framing them?
Hokusai's paintings were not only stylishly designed and beautiful. Perhaps because his paintings were literally close to the viewer, there are full of little tricks to amuse or surprise the viewer.
And, the BONSAI Owl also loves to amuse or surprise you.
This book takes you on a journey through Hokusai's paintings with BONSAI Owl.
Have great fun looking closely at what the BONSAI Owl and the BONSAI in the Ukiyo-e are doing, and discovering the strange and lovely things that Hokusai painted.
Visual e-book "Let's play with Hokusai, BONSAI Owl!" is now available at Amazon kindle store.

I hope you have enjoyed.
